Vårens sista webinarium får ni inte missa! Piccolaworkshop med Georgiana Hughes.
Webbinariet kommer hållas på engelska men det går fint att ställa frågor på svenska.
Georgiana Hughes is a British flute player living in Gothenburg working as a freelance musician and teacher. As a freelance player she has performed with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Gothenburg Opera, Jönköping Sinfonietta, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and the Gothenburg Wind Orchestra. Georgiana began her studies at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she achieved a First-Class Honours studying with Jonathan Rimmer, Marie-Christine Zupancic and piccolo with Andrew Lane. She then went on to study a Master of Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with Katherine Bryan, Ruth Morley, Richard Blake and Janet Richardson. In June 2022, she completed her second Master of Fine Arts in Music with a Specialisation in Symphonic Orchestra Performance from the Academy of Music and Drama, Gothenburg, where she studied with Håvard Lysebo, Tina Ljungkvist and Sabine Daniels. As well as performing, she has many years’ experience in arts management and as a teacher both privately and with the charity Keys of Change, where she teaches a young group of musicians online in India and Ghana weekly. She was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Ghana in 2023 and meet her students in person. Georgiana has generously been awarded scholarships among others from the Gothenburg Freemasons Music Scholarship, Kungl. Musikaliska Akademien (KMA) Stipendier, Arts Council Wales and The James Pantyfedwen Foundation.
